How do I pay for the Secure My Fare feature?
Our policies and payment methods are as followed.
Booking period and fare hold fee
Reservation must be made at least 4 days before departure date. Secure My Fare applies to all domestic routes (within Vietnam). Fare hold fee for a 24-hour hold: 70,000 VND/01 passenger (VAT excluded). Fare hold fee for a 48-hour hold: 80,000 VND/01 passenger (VAT excluded)
Fare hold fee applies to adults and children of over 2 years old; does not apply to children under 2 years old.
Fare hold fee payment method
Passengers will pay the fare hold fee upon making the reservation and selecting Secure My Fare. The fare hold fee is not refundable under any circumstances.
Passengers can pay by international credit or debit cards.
Once your fare hold fee payment is completed, our system will send a confirmation email with the fare hold fee receipt and itinerary information (the booking reference).
Flight reservation payment method
Payment period: Depending on your chosen fare hold period, passengers shall pay within 24 or 48 hours after making the reservation.
Payment methods: Passengers can sign in Manage Booking page on our website using the provided booking reference and pay for your tickets at the fare held there.
Besides my free baggage allowance, can I pay for my excess baggage on Vietnam Airlines' website/mobile application?

Yes, you can buy prepaid baggage during booking your tickets at Book section or after having ticket at Additional Services section. For details of prepaid baggage conditions, please visit our website.

Depending on fare types selected, you can pre-reserve your seats with fees or without fees during booking your tickets on Vietnam Airlines' website/mobile application at Book section or after purchasing tickets at My Booking. See details at

1. Refresh your device.
